There will be more than 500 units when Village of Ponderosa is complete. The types of homes include lofts, both large and small single family homes, condominiums, row homes and townhomes. Some, like the Prairie Circle townhomes are modern in style, while others, like the Courtyard single family homes take a more traditional route.
Designed with the look of a traditional neighborhood in mind, these two-plex and four-plex buildings create a streetscape similar to two-story detached houses. Flats, ranging from 831 to 1,316 square feet, will be stacked, with individual private entries for each. Each flat unit will feature a living room and a dining room, a kitchen and one or two bedrooms.
Porches, designed to serve as outdoor living and entries, will face the street to help create a people-friendly environment. To further reinforce this a majority of the parking and detached one-car garages will be accessed from rear load alleys. The builder for Prairie Villas is Koester Construction.
